Flavors range from tropical fruits, apples, pears, and peaches to butter, oak, mineral, and vanilla. Merlot: A Red Wine originally cultivated in Bordeaux, France, although Merlots are now produced all over the world. Merlot is similar in flavor to Cabernet Sauvignon--flavors of berry, currant, plum, vanilla, oak, and rose, yet without the hard edges of tannin and acid. Shiraz/Syrah: A Red Wine originally cultivated in France's Rhone region, although it is now produced worldwide. Australia is one of the major producers of Shiraz due to the perfect climate. Syrahs and Shirazes tend to be very herbal and spicy, making them perfect food wines. Zinfandel: A mysterious Red Wine that mutated from indigenous Croatian grape varietals. It's cousin is the Italian Primitivo. It has proven to be a great wine in California. Zinfandels tend to very fruity, with jammy flavors of berries, cherries, licorice, candy, and spice. Pinot Noir: Another one of the great wines originally from Burgundy, France. Pinot is famous for its difficulty in production. It's hard to grow, and hard to make wine out of. However, when it's done right, Pinot is an amazing wine. It is very soft across the palate--the exact opposite of Cabernet. Flavorwise, Pinot tends to have some fruit like cherry, raisin, strawberry, but also very intriguing spice and floral flavors, as well as savory flavors such as tomato, olive, mushroom, and tea. Cabernet Sauvignon: The "King of Wines", hailing from Bordeaux, France. Cabernets are B I G wines, with full body, firm tannins, and huge flavor. These are the best aging wines, and hold up to the most rich of meals. Flavors in Cabernet tend to be of currants, blackberries, black cherry, spice, oak, vanilla, leather, and ginger.
Elvis Presley Wine - 2 Bottles Combo
We have to admit we're not the hugest fans of the King. That's not to say we don't like his music, or that we couldn't watch him "act" his way through a couple movies...we're just saying we're not the rabid, drooly, "Oh my God he's so DREAMY" kind of fans. That doesn't mean we'd be against sipping some Elvis wine, however. After all, they wouldn't attach a celebrity's name to a shoddy product, right? This Gift Set includes - Blue Xmas caberent and Chardonnay.
2004 Pichon Longueville Lalande Pauillac Bordeaux Red Wine
"One canit say enough about the brilliant work being done by manager Thomas Do-Chi-Nam, who started at Pichon-Lalande in 1992. The estate feels the 2004 has much in common with the 1996, but Iim not as convinced. Produced from yields of 50 hectoliters per hectare, with only 55% of the crop making it into the final blend, and a harvest that took place between September 27 and October 14, the final blend was 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Petit Verdot. A complex, fragrant bouquet of fennel, black currants, sweet cherries, licorice, and sweet oak (about 50% new oak is utilized) is followed by a medium-bodied Pauillac exhibiting excellent concentration, elegance, and acidity as well as a nicely textured mouthfeel without being anywhere near the size or opulence of the 2003. It appears to be a modern day version of the 1986, with sweeter, riper fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2020." -From the Wine Advocate
Conundrum California White Wine 375ML (Half Bottle)
Conundrum success as a unique, complex blend of white grapes from California continues with this vintage in this fresh, lively, deeply-flavored wine. This is the first vintage to be produced at the new production-only Conundrum Winery in the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County. Our wine's core profile remains thoroughly Californian, with Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the Napa Valley, Muscat Canelli from Tulare county on the Central Coast, and Chardonnay and Viognier from our vineyards in Monterey County. The "puzzle" of Conundrum lies partly in guessing the range of grape varieties we use, because we never reveal its exact composition. Powerful aromas of green apple, tangerine zest and honeysuckle. Core flavors of apricot, melon, pear and light vanilla are beautifully balanced by the sparkling acidity of cirtus fruits. The lush, creamy, mouth-filling texture is heightened by powerful floral and bright tropical fruit notes and leads to a full, powerful finish.

2007 Hamilton Russell Pinot Noir WS 93Pts (Top 100 Wine 2009)
#52 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2009 Bold, aromatic and ripe, but very elegant, with racy acidity providing the ground wire for the rich black cherry, bramble, incense and sweet earth notes, followed by a long, multifaceted finish. Drink now through 2013. 5,213 cases made. -James Molesworth Our Pinot noir is not overtly fruity, soft and "sweet" and it generally shows hints of that alluring "primal" character along with a dark, spicy, complex primary fruit perfume. -Hannes Storm A particularly good winter chill ensured more even bud-break than usual and apart from a couple of strong winds in November, wind speeds were lower than average and conditions at flowering excellent. Humidity was higher than usual in January requiring vigilance to ward off disease. While January was warmer than average a" contributing to a harvest one week earlier than normal, February and March were cooler than usual. Overall 2007 was a cool year versus our long-term average. Ripening was particularly even and fruit quality excellent. Not just a Pinot noir, but a classic, origin expressive wine, Hamilton Russell Vineyards Pinot noir is different to most New World Pinot noirs. Our low-vigour, stony, clay-rich soil, cool maritime mesoclimate, naturally tiny yields of around 35 hl/ha and our philosophy of expressing our terroir in our wines a" give rise to a certain tightness, tannin line and elevated length to balance the richness and generosity of our Pinot noir. Our Pinot noir is not overtly fruity, soft and "sweet" and it generally shows hints of that alluring "primal" character along with a dark, spicy, complex fruit perfume. For this reason, many knowledgeable enthusiasts around the world regard Hamilton Russell Vineyards as the best "Pinot noir" in South Africa and one of the best in the New World. " Bold, aromatic and ripe, but imminently elegant, with racy acidity providing the ground wire for the rich black cherry, bramble, incense and sweet earth notes. Long, multi-faceted finish, the HR Pinot is quietly getting better and better. Drink now through 2013." 93 Points Wine Spectator "Moderately saturated medium red. Complex, highly aromatic nose combines vibrant red berries, incense, cherry, flowers, spices, and a note of eucalyptus. Juicy and very intense but magically light on its feet; the pungent red berry and pepper flavors spread out to coat the palate without any impression of weight . This soil-driven wine is extremely young and should put on weight with four or five years of cellaring. Very distinctive and stylish pinot with fine-grained tannins and terrific finishing energy and perfume. " 91 Points International Wine Cellar
LIOCO Wine Chardonnay Charles Heintz Vineyard Sonoma Coast 2007 (12 Pack)
The 07 Heintz is a distant relative of the 06. It was born of a classic Sonoma Coast vintage: dry, cool, and consistent. Where the 06 was heavy on amplitude, this 07 is diamond cut. It hints at the exotica, but is held taught by ripe, cleansing acidity. Like a kernel of sun, enveloped by a cold mountain stream. Prepare for a bouquet of orange blossoms, kettle corn, and wet sand. The flavors include lemon oil, jasmine, and a chalky minerality. Needs time to reveal its true potential.
